An award-winning Executive Producer, David Johnson possesses the entrepreneurial expertise to originate and realize creative vision,with the natural-born leadership to direct content strategy. David's branded entertainment experience covers all mediums - from television, to digital, film, mobile/tablet based apps, social media campaigns, and experiential marketing for some of the world's most recognized brands - including Budweiser, Maxwell House Coffee, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Build-A-Bear and Chrysler.

David launched his career producing television commercials for such brands as Wal-Mart, Nations Bank, Texaco and Goya Foods. He then transitioned to feature film production as a feature film development executive for Outlaw Productions (Sex, Lies & Videotape; Training Day,) and then for Mike Binder's Sunlight Productions (Crossing the Bridge, Indian Summer) as Director of Production. At Sunlight, David co-produced the films Londinium starring Colin Firth, Mariel Hemingway, and Mike Binder, and The Search for John Gissing starring Janeane Garofalo, Mike Binder and Alan Rickman.

David then joined Coolfire Studios - quickly cultivating agency relationships to produce award-winning work for brands such as Vibram, The Hartford, Walgreens and Bacardi. Within two years, he was made partner and named President of Coolfire Studios.

Leveraging the rapid success of Coolfire’s original entertainment endeavors with hit shows like Welcome To Sweetie Pie's (OWN,) Fast & Loud (Discovery) Resale Royalty (Style) and the Emmy-award winning docu-series The Frontline For Hope, David has strategically positioned Coolfire Studios as a leader in branded entertainment – creating authentic stories that engage audiences.

Over the past two year’s David has returned to his filmmaking roots to Executive Produce the feature film, The Ghost Who Walks and the documentary film Walt & The Winter Olympics. The Ghost Who Walks will be distributed worldwide in November of 2019. The documentary film is currently in post-production.

During his career, David has been a strategic creative leader - working with agencies, advertisers, creative talent and technology platforms to create innovative entertainment that drives audience, monetization and accomplishes KPIs and objectives on behalf of his clients. His efforts have transformed Coolfire Studios into the prolific multi-dimensional branded entertainment company that it is today.
